I was just reflecting back on an incident where a father was dying and none of his 16 children knew how to read the Quraan . Just imagine that brothers and sisters…16 children and none of them were able to read from the Quraan.
When one is dying it is benefited to read the Quraan over him or her.
DO ANSWER…
Can you read the Quraan?
If not…are you doing enough effort in trying to be able to read?
It’s a real shame! Even if the man had ONE child, it is his farz/duty as a Muslim parent to teach the child how to read the holy Koran. I and my three siblings all were taught how to read it. I myself can even write in Arabic too. I always think to myself that no matter what else I will do in life, the one thing I will DEFINITELY do no matter what is to teach my kids how to read, understand, and appreciate the holy Koran.
