I feel my bedroom is full of unwanted stuff that includes shoes, clothes, bedding and loads more. While I do want to clean up and want more space available , I am finding it very hard to organize things and thow away stuff. I keep thinking " what if i need it later "
I think I need help organizing. How would you categorize things in the room? I am going to follow the categories and try and put things in them. If anything doesnt fit them , off it goes into the bin ..
Clothes and shoes should be in a closet, not in your room. Bedding should also be in a linen closet. Once you mentally remove those three things, other than your regular five or six pieces of bedroom set, and a floor fan, floor lamp, heater etc ..., you should not have anything else in the room.
De-cluttering rule is pretty simple. If you haven't used it in last six months, you duct need it.
Get those under the bed storage things and put ur off season clothing intheir. Get a shoe rack or one of those shoe organizers u can put on the door onthe inside of a closet. For things u dont use and feel may be useful in 6months or a couple of years, get a suitcase and store it intheir or a big container. And put it in a closet or other small room or rent storage space for them.
Close your eyes, take a deep breath, focus and throw it away (or put in that drop box) if you have not used it for last 6 months (with some exceptions)
