brides who didnt wear red in their wedding do u have any regret not wearing red or u think u missed red in your wedding..?
and those who wore red u think u could have gone for some other colour then red..because there are many good new shades in market..
yes i know we have valima ceremony to wear other colours but shades are awesome that its really hard to pick only one just for valima…:(.so was thking to go some shade for wedding as well
i m so confuse for red ???
i should go for red or not …
u dont need to wear red.. im not plannign on it either.. might add red to it but thats just coz i think red looks good on me. I just dotn want the typical whole red outfit..
My sister wore a mintygreen lehenga shirt and her dupatta was red only... it looked really nice.. the overal look was mintygreen!!!
I think red suits the best for dulhan on her wedding.. but you should do what you think will be best. I did red for my nikah and turquoise/copper for my ruksati..
^ agree! some people don't suit red! you should wear what suits you.
e.g one of my bengali friends has a dark but beautiful complexion. she wore light, pastel shades on her wedding days and looked stunning! she did try red/ maroons etc in the shops - but felt like it didn't suit her complexion at all!
Agreed with everyone on here. For me..personally I love red and it also suits me and I also wanted to make sure I incorporated it into my outfit but not drowning in it.. So I'm doing red and green mixed. Mint green with a red/ plum mix would also be gorgoues and have that traditional touch you might be looking for.
I've been stuck on this as well. Wearing a shade of red on your wedding day is so predictable. I just don't feel excited when I see a bride in a red/burgundy/maroon lengha. I have tried to convince myself, but I just don't think I can do it. I will probably end up going with a pale green for the barat, and a peachy pink for the valima. I think you should do what you feel is best, and what makes you happy. There really arent any rules anymore!
I personally couldn't see myself in anything other than red or a shade of it. A bunto red/maroon is what I'm referring to.
Of course the valima would be the total opposite and contemporary as opposed to the traditional on the baraat. I'm thinking silverish/light-greyish mixed w/ jade/pale green.
