Red Sky

Salam Guppies,

I am sure some of you have seen wall hanging of Khanna-e-Kaba, made of velvet or some cloth (always made in China). Many Pakistani families hang it their living rooms. Have you noticed that shy above Khanne-e-Kaba is mostly shown red in them? Somehow I feel really uncomfortable looking at that sky color. Khanna-e-Kaba is such a serene place and color red is not appropriate I think. Is it just me or any of you feel this way too? 'cos people who hang them don’t feel such a thing. I heard some one saying its such a small detail!

Thank you all

I don't think you got this right. I have not seen a more "haibatnaak" (can't think of an English word to describe it) place than Kaaba (do not mean it in a bad sense). When I first visited the Kaaba, I was so terrified, I couldn't stop crying. The tears just rolled non-stop during the whole tawaf. One feels so little in front of the Kaaba.

Now if you want a serene place, go to Masjid-e-Nabawi.
