Hello everyone. I am looking for a red lipstick that suits desi skin tones. I am in an adventurous mood these days and want to experiment with a red lipstick look. Any suggestions?

u can use ur lisptick with gloss

i did it on my wedding

what ever kind of red u hv

if u put soem gloss on it it looks perfect and natural

I use the Cherry red from No.7, love it…
I have a few more reds, don’t remember the names… But yes i wear red lipstick a lot now, i sooooo :wub: it.

if i might add a suggestion, a true red looks good on every skin tone, like MAC's russian red. if you want something especiallky for a 'desi' skin (i assume you mean warm or olive skin tones?) then, i'd suggest a red with an orange or gold undertone, because this flatters warm skin tones. the deeper the skin tone, the more you can get away with darker reds.

under the "Red, Red Lips Part II – More To Make Your Heart Pitter Patter" blog, no.1 is a cool, blue-toned red for fair skin, while no.6 is an orange based red for warm skin.
also, make sure you use a lip primer/lip balm, because putting lipstick, particularly red, on dry, chapped lips will make them look worse and a good, waxy lip liner to keep the lip colour from straying and feathering (which isn't a good look).

Without a doubt Mac's Viva Glam 1. Its a beautiful timeless red that is perfect for desi skin tones. I recently went to the Mac counter and all the sales assistants were wearing it. I had to get it, it looked amazing on all the girls and they were all different skin tones but it still worked on all of them!

I'm a MAC NC25 and I loved it so much on myself that I have purchased one and am keeping it aside to use on my wedding day :)

MAC Russian Red goes well on desi skintones..
red should look good even without a lipgloss, but a similar colored lipliner is a must.. i have tried it many times, looks great!

I LOVE NYC lipstick in retro red...it looks great on desi skin...and did i mention its 99 cents!!!
