I used putty for linux. Just so i'd understand the dos prompt works with linux.

I never tried Red Hat.

EDIT: I usually use Visual Studio. NET for debugging and make programs related to data saving / data mining in C#, make games in C++. I never gave a thought to Linux after my course was done. :(

EDIT2: For C++ I use 3 debuggers, Dev C++ (though I hate it because everytime I make API it just flickers it on the screen and ends the program. Maybe it needs a return type but the main is void..It still doesnt make sense.), Visual Studio C++.NET Express edition, Visual Studio.NET with C++ template. :@:

I’m an amateur btw… this is not even my forté/area of expertise… i taught myself all this whilst pregnant with my first child :wink:
