Recs for restaurants - london

Does anyone know of any good restaurants in or near london that have live entertainment?

It doesn’t have to be desi food - but should be halal or have some decent vegetarian options.

So far, I have only managed to find a place called Bollywood Dreams but there must be other places too.

yeh try on edgware road (central london) there are alot of halal food resturants and with live music the only name i can recall at the moment are mumtaz and masti i can't recall any more names at the moment:D

I don't actually live in london so it would be a bit of a trek for me to go to edgeware road just to look at restaurants :)

I live on the south coast, about two hours drive from london but it's the nearest place to me that has halal restaurants. So I don't mind whereabouts in london the restaurants are.

its alright, when do u need them by? i mean when do u want to go there coz one of my cousin's like going to restaurants and she knows the best places so if you are not in hurry than i will let u know on monday coz wont be coming online for next two days will be back on Monday:D

Not in any hurry, am just to work my way through the recommendations as I come to london quite often.

avoid edgware road. i lived on it 4 a year, the food isn't that good and it's overpriced, plus some staff are rude 2 pakis. masti... is that the one in wembley? nice food, no sure if halal i had the veggie stuff, uttey do have a dj persn there.

it may not have live entertainment but oscars is in a shopping mall and it does th best halal mexican and the ambiance is lovely.

EFFI's - a turkish one, have good live entertainment. Mumtaz is good too, but too crowded.

Shehzan in Nightsbridge is very nice one, has live music on certain days.

on top end , bombay brassrie, salloos, and Zaika

stay away from any desi one on edgeware road or Khans in bays water. Maroush on bond street has live music and far better then other maroosh( ranoush, fatoush, beruit etc) on edgeware road.

thats what in know from my personal experience with almost every one.

Thanks for those suggestions Shak. Do you have the number for EFFI's? Whereabouts is it and is the food halal?

I have been to Shehzan.....wasn't too impressed to be honest and I preferred the place across the road, Handi.

they are Halal, but do check with them. I have eaten there already i assume they are halal.:frowning:
