There is some really interesting stuff out there that is worth watching.
I just finished watching the last part of a three parter by Adam Curtis “All watched over by machines of loving grace”.
It was fascinating and disturbing. I already mentioned it in my blog but since it didn’t get much exposure, I thought why not make a thread.
I think this thread should just for recommending stuff and if anyone wants to discuss an individual documentary, we can open up separate threads for that.
I also think we should exclude nature, science or general travel stuff (unless it’s creating awareness of an issue) because then this thread will be saturated with those and there are other forums sections for them.
I will try to put you tube links but I would recommend going to the bay of pirates and finding a decent quality torrent.
Adam Curtis - he uses archive footage and some interviews to support his narrative.

I find it difficult to describe but it analyses the relationship between the machines and humans and theories applicable to machines have been used to over simplify our understanding of the world. * The last part touches on how the developed world’s desire for technology has caused the carnage in the congo and the selfish gene theory.
A road to Guatanamo Bay, a docu-drama! :k: I must warn that it’s quite depressing but i think everyone should watch it to know how great the american are and how they can only “talk” about human rights but fail to practise it.
I am so tempted to watch this movie.. Is it scary ?? :(
I haven't yet recovered from "exorcism of Emli Rose ":( :( :(
It's not scary but its just an interview of this old man you see sitting on the couch, he explains his journey through spirit worship and the new age movement which started in the late 20th century. You'll learn the truth about the new age movement (evolution/materialism) and spirit mysticism and all that and how its all fake and we're being tricked. If you're a Muslim you'll love this documentary. Really eye opening stuff.
