hey guys Do you have any recommendations of Pakistani teleplays or dramas involving a relationship where the girl is older and the guy is younger? story lines similar to Malaal or Fawad Khan’s teleplay Behadd.
other than kaanch ka pul and a drama episode in the Libaas series.
Re: recommendations of Pakistani teleplays or dramas
ok. I remember Hawa'en 'Qaisar Khan and Mumtaz Kanwal'. There were some good dialogues between the two. Not similar to Malal or Be-had.
Another one with age difference was Naheed Sultana Akhtar's long play 'Adam Hawa aur Shaitan', but its about younger lady and elder male. One of the memorale performances by Humera Zaheer and Shafi Muhammad Shah.
Re: recommendations of Pakistani teleplays or dramas
and yes the best play ever written by Noor ul Huda Shah (mainly revolving around Tasawuf) also revolves around a young guy (Nabeel) who fell in love with an elder lady (Mishi Khan - originally written for film actress Rani). The drama is a master piece and to the point. Just 11 episodes to convey a big message.
Re: recommendations of Pakistani teleplays or dramas
Ashfaq Ahmed’s Ek Muhabbat Sau Afsane has a play ‘Maah e Kan’an’ revolving around young guy and elder lady. beautiful dialogues of Ashfaq Ahmed and perfect acting by Shagufta Ejaz made this a must watch.

Drama sawan, starring kashif mehmood, sawera nadeem, qavi khan etc. If didn't watch, then highly recommended.
I hadn't got a chance to watch this drama. added in to be watched list. I think Asghar nadeem Syed's 'Darya' may also fall in this category as pairing of Toqeer Nasir and Samina Peerzada got age difference element (though they didn't highlight that too much in the main theme). In Peshawer TV's Bisaat the role of Nabeela Khan and her husband had shades of this issue (but again that was not the main theme of the drama).

In Malal, age difference is a main theme. Even in behadd, it is one of the main themes. In the above suggested dramas how many of them address the issue as a central theme? If it's not addressed as an issue, then these suggested dramas are not in the same vein as Malal and behadd. What's being searched is dramas addressing the angle, so which suggestions will apply?

Mah e Kan'an is totally relevant. Ajaib Khana is more on tasawuf, but yes the guy fall in love with a lady who is mother of a 6-7 years old boy (she calls her son as brother). I hadn't watched Sawan but its title / promos says that it revolves around age difference topic.

I watched Sawan a bit ages ago. From what I remember Kashif Mehmood is in love with Savera Nadeem, his cousin who is older by several years. She has no romantic interest in him, but marries him and felelingd develop later on. Before their marriage Kashif has a cousin who is in love with him and when Savera doesn't get pregnant, she plays on him on draws her to him. As crazy as kashif was about Savera, utni hi jaldi se us ka dil Savera se uttar jaata hai. So, some viewers might even take this story line to confirm their beliefs that marriage to an older girl can only be doomed.

There are hundreds of dramas and movies where older guy-younger lady marriage have been shown as successful, but marriage of elder girl - younger boy has either not been shown (not possible) and if due to some circumstances they got married it has been shown as disaster.

Ok there was a single play from Qasmi Kahani series ‘Ihsan’ Based on Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi’s short story and dramtised by Amjad Islam Amjad. The story revolved around a girl (Arifa Siddiqui) living with her aged and ill father. A neighbor (Azm ul Haq) comes to live in attached house and at times helped the girl in taking her father to hospital, etc. They started liking each other. At the end of the play, girls invites the guy and he thought she wants to talk of their marriage. She talks of marriage but… ask him to find out pakki umr ka mature person for her.
