To the english speaking crowd out there…

Can you recommend some foriegn films…and i dont mean bollywood/lollywood/kollywood…/woods etc ( in case you hadnt noticed).

I'm assuming you mean films that aren't in English or Urdu/Hindi.

I heard Half Nelson is meant to be damn good. Its 2 years old now I think but apparently its great. Im gonna watch the DVD when I get the assignments outta the way.

I've heard 'The Yacoubian Builiding/Omaret Yacoubian' (Arabic, Egypt, 2006) is really good and worth a watch.

Here's how the plot is summarised on imdb.com, and I quote "Meditations on corruption, fundamentalism, prostitution, homosexuality, and drugs in central Cairo." Sounds like a whole lot of interesting cinema.
