So i was at a Sunoco gas station buying you know what. The attendant was a really old zaeef arabic uncle. While i was paying him for you know what, he noticed a guy outside filling up his car with the engine running. He quickly turned to the intercom and literally ordered the poor guy to turn his engine off and he seemed pretty pissed too when he said it. So anyway the guy outside complies and turns his car’s engine off. The arbi uncle then looks at me and tells me how he hates it when people leave their car running while they fill up. At that i told the uncle that since its minus twenty two outside the guy probably wants to keep his car warm. To which the arbi uncle goes
“Listen, if you die of cold people can atleast recognize you, but if you burn to death no one will even recognize you!”
So, umm.. wow. Dying wasnt really his biggest concern here. Its just he wants to be recognized when he dies. I kinda liked his way of reasoning. While i didnt bother pondering over the meaning of what he said, i’m sure he came to that conclusion based on his many years of wisdom and experience.
Old uncles are so cute. ![]()
