Actually not - remember the center has BJP guys, Modi & Jaitley rather, and the state having someone else will be a good check and balance.

Anyway, let's hope the Modi government lives upto its promises of all around positive change including fully normalizing Kashmir by getting rid of the separatist nonsense and pretecting the people from anymore cross border terrorism. The people there have spoken by rejecting the boycott calls of the separatist thugs, by turning out and voting in large numbers. Regardless of which party is elected there, this message of the people has sledge hammered those Pakistanis who covet Kashmir - it is my fond hope that Pakistan also gets the message and focus on giving up terrorism and instead work towards development.

Its a hung parliament. PDP is likely to make govt possibly from outside support from Congress.

instead of getting into wasteful coalition politics I hope BJP will sit in the opposition in J&K. Making deals at state level can bring pressures at the center

Mr.Amit Shah will play his card.
I think B.J.P will try for power because firstly this is their very first chance to rule the state.Secondly they can bring in development to state very easily with the help of centre if they are in power.This will be a real game changer.
Anyway APHC will be left to it's ruins in the coming times. :)

Back to the topic is J&K turnout - two decades of consistent large turnouts is very encouraging indeed; now the results show the people there have moved on to development agenda; the separatists better reform or become completely irreleavnt

You do have a point and it is an intriguing thought to think a national party in power in J&K. My concern is there may not be sufficient capable local leadership for BJP in J&K as in may other states. Modi, Jaitley et all cannot be everywhere all the time.

You do have a point and it is an intriguing thought to think a national party in power in J&K. My concern is there may not be sufficient capable local leadership for BJP in J&K as in may other states. Modi, Jaitley et all cannot be everywhere all the time.
You are right.B.J.P does not have good leaders in Kashmir particularly but if they try for power in J&K ,it can do good for them in the long term.
One striking thing to note is that Mr,Modi is the first P.M to have visited Kashmir than any of his predecessors.He has visited Kashmir every month since he assumed office!!! :)
Something that is changing the entire scenario in Kashmir.

That would be the smart thing to do; they can make sure form the center that development occurs but at the local level ensure the state government executes. let's hope Amit Shah is smart enough
