Frankly , I love new recipes … but the only one’s that scare the freak out of me are the ones that have too many ingredients … specially difficult to find spices … ohh and those that have got cheese as one of their ingredients …
I have a friend , who hates all the recipes that mention green chillies as a major ingredient …
Anything that requires baking...!!
And maybe something which will take too long...like haleem takes a long time to cook.I have always been intimidated by it.Same goes with things that involve multiple steps and use of kitchen gadgets/appliances I dont use too often.Like for example, shami kakab....!!
First make the meat and daal mix...then I have to dig out my food processor and process the mix...then shape them into kababs and freeze them for future use...lot of work.
The sad part is I happen to love haleem and kabab...I just dont make 'em...:(
I abhor kebab recipes... Infact i hate everything that requires cutting and chopping and shaping by hand.... Its such slow work argh.
For machines... Kofth hothi hai taking it out and plugging it in when the need arises.... So i got a nice long cabinwt and have lined up all my regular use machinery...its all plugged in and ready to go... So thats one less idiocy.
Im another fish smell hater, never make it at home, hubby craves for it sometimes and I put my foot down and tell him to get it from a restuarant, the smell takes ages to go.
too many ingredients scare me also, especially if u have to buy many of them just for one recipe and never use them again.
recipes which have too many steps and makes loads of dishes to wash at the end.
