My daughter got a taste of Knorr Instant Noodles from me and loved it ! I do not encourage those instant noodles esp with masala powder mixed in it. But she tasted some from my bowl anyway I want to make egg noodles for her in the evening today.
What I am planning to do is to cook them in some home made chicken stock and add some seasoning of salt & pepper plus carrots and peas in it. I hope I really hope she eats it because she gives me too much trouble with food
any ideas or suggestion or any other tried and tested recipe to improve my recipe from all the mommies out there
My daughter LOVES noodles. She really enjoys chow mein whenever I make it for our dinner with tons of veggies (carrots, bell pepper, zucchini, broccoli, bean sprouts, etc.) and chicken. You could try that.
Like you, I also sometimes make those knorr-type noodles, cooked in chicken stock with loads of veggies (peas, diced carrots, lima & green beans) and a little bit of seasoning. That's the quickest meal prepared, and an even quicker empty bowl I ever see from her. It's not the world's best food, but adding home made chicken stock and veggies makes it a little guilt-free. ;-)
I know it isn't noodles, but you could also try tomatoe based sauce with spagetti or other pasta and add in loads of veggies/ground beef/chicken to the sauce.
I ALSO NEED SUCH RECIPE . U PUT NOODLE IN CHICKEN STOCK ALONG WITH VEGE AND MASALA AT ONCE. WHEN WATER DRIES, IT READY RIGHT?
HOW CAN WE MAKE TOMATO BASED PASTA?
Take a pan, add little oil, little ginger garlic paste, add tomato puree, spices like salt, pepper, little stock to thin it out, little lemon juice, little soy sauce. Cook it for few minutes and your sauce is ready. Saute' some vegetables, chop some chicken (from yakhni if you have some). Add the boiled noodles and vegetables/chicken to the sauce, mix them and let them simmer on low heat for couple minutes. And you have a decent pasta dish.
You can add cheese over your child's plate and microwave for 30secs to a min to let the cheese melt.
I normally keep hot sauce on the side and add it to taste in my plate.
i sometimes use instant noodles too.. just dont add the given spice pack.
i too make it in yakhni.. and add whatever healthy stuff i have.
i just learned something new (for me it was new..)
boil elbow pasta or whatever have you.. shouldnt be spaghetti though..
boil some chicken in whatever masala you want.. and veggies too.. i just make yakhni.. take chicken out and shred it .. sautee a bit and same sautee the veggies too.. yakhni i freeze in portions for genie (i make her porridge and coucous and rice in that instead of water) :D
kher.. whip up an egg (depending on how much noodles you have.. 1 cup pasta should be ok with 1 egg.
mix chicken and pasta. put it in an oven safe dish.. pour egg ontop.. throw some cheese if you want. bake unitl ready. its SO jhat phat! midget loves it these days.
I have nothing to add to this thread except I made the ramen noodles a few days ago....there was alot left over, so I put it away in the fridge..2 days later, it smelled SO DISGUSTING. Dunno if the noodles aren't meant ot last that long or what, but it was so nasty. :(
