Got a party this weekend and mum wants me to make a whole roast leg of lamb (not bbq in the oven)

Anyone got any yummy recipes pleaasse??

Jamie Oliver's website has a good recipe, i haven't tried it myself but i saw the tv episode. He's recipes are always easy to follow and have worked out great for me.

I inject this into the leg of lamb Amazon.com : Cajun Injector 16 Ounce Creole Butter Marinade : Gourmet Marinades : Grocery & Gourmet Food , it is available at walmart and then rub shan tikkal masala mixed with some garlic ginger paste . Let it marinade for the length of time I want.
I roast it at low heat for few hours , then roast it on open flame .
It is always a hit. Nothing is left over.

Here's a tested desi version - very simple:

Marante your leg (about 2kg) in (for 30 mins)

One lemon's juice
4 tablespoon soya sauce
4 tablespoon vinegar
Ginger/garlic paste 2 tablespoon
1 Tablespoon garam masala
Salt to to taste
Oil two tablespoon
Rosemary leaves - some

and then put on low heat in a saucepan and cook till tender (one and half hour)

Flavor injectors have been in use in USA for more than a decade now , they work great. They are used to add flavor to the whole chicken , leg, turkey etc , not just the top layer of the meat.

online buying isnt IN in KSA...ill check out the markets tht hv foreign brands here...maybe i find it...

Make small cuts in the lamb, rub with olive oil and salt, stick some rosemary into the cuts, cover with foil and cook on a very low heat for a few hours (depends on weight). This is lamb at its best, natural taste :yummy:

pepper
fire

rub salt and pepper, let it sit for a few hours, put it on the fire..cook...eat

Hiii everyone

So I have just put the lamb in the oven for guests this evening, I made up my own marinade as I went along haha.

This is what I marinated my lamb with

Yoghurt and Vinegar (to aid in tenderising and for flavour)
Lots of Zeera powder both shahi and kala zeera
Garlic
Salt and Pepper

And i am serving it with cous cous salad of cous cous, spring onions, lemon juice and pommegrante seeds :)
