Recipe for a Turkish/Arabic tea..

Ok in Saudi Arabia the Truck stop version of tea is called “Barat”. Just like in Pakistan the bus stop ki chai ka maza hi kuch aur hota hay, in Saudi Arabia, barat tea is very tasty in unique way. It is very high in caffeine and very sweet.

No I am not talking about Gawah/Qawah.

So does anyone know how to make this tea? It is some kind of Turkish tea.

Re: Recipe for a Turkish/Arabic tea..

are you sure it was tea? tell me how it tasted like, maybe I can help.

Re: Recipe for a Turkish/Arabic tea..

It tastes very sweet, as you would expect “Truck Stop” tea to be. It has no milk in it. It is basically like doodh patti, but without the doodh. They serve it in those small glass cups.

Re: Recipe for a Turkish/Arabic tea..

what is doodh patti. Yeah we use the small cups all the time.
