I have been invited to a colleague’s reception and i just wanted some advice from you guys, as to, what would be the correct dress code for such a event. I haven’t been to a non desi reception before so i haven’t a clue!
If any of you guys have been to a non desi reception b4 then i suppose your advice will be extra beneficial. So without further ado, kindly leave your input here people.

Re: Reception

Re: Reception
If it's just your colleague and you're only going to the reception then you don't have to wear a suit, but don't go in jeans either regardless of how smart they might be.
Wear a shirt and trousers and if you still feel too underdressed then wear a tie as well.
Don't wear a white shirt with black trousers though unless you don't mind being mistake for a waiter all night long.
Re: Reception
Why did you post this here on Bazar Talk? You likely to get more responses in general section.
Re: Reception
When in doubt put on a suit. Did you buy your all-season suit yet? :)
Re: Reception
