Ab aap inko heavier style me convert karlo.. I am more towards wearing different /cut/styles than blingy heavier kaam type formals..

On my latest visit to Pak (vere recently), I found that the trend is changing for formals (non-bridal). The long flowy gown types are pretty much gone (unless it is for a mehndi type occasion), but mostly it is straight kameez with either slim pants, churi-dar or izaar. The length of kameez is all over the place (mainly long), but some of the designers (like Sana Safinaz) now have the short length coming back in style. In Lahore, however, people are still wearing the gown type dresses, in Karachi not many if at all.
Sarees (along with lehenga choli) are also really in these days.

For my new formals I am going to opt for a shorter hemline on one or two pieces - a few inches below the knee - nice to break it up a bit and have something different to what everyone else is wearing - i think that's where hemlines are headed anyway... But it will be a long while until this becomes the norm.

I think good formals can easily range from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 100,000. It really depends on the designer / kaam etc.

I think Chinyere has good stuff and reasonably priced. And it’s not as common as most of the designers.
Or you can check out Labels E Store (and search their dresses from price range) to get an idea of what you can get for the price.

i think we should have a thread where we all can post new formals,favorites. so everybody can get help.i think coat style is very in. with long coat and short inner shirt. i m seeing alot of jump suits with coats.
