really?

So glad for Younis khan’s performance today…

but getting tired of comments everywhere that he has shown the mirror to the selectors…has he really?

lets talk abt it

jaanab Younis was kicked out of ODI not test matches…

like i said, I love Younis as a test player but every format has a different requirement. Lets talk on merit. Younis has played over 250 ODIs and averages only 31…only 31. He is lucky to play so many ODIS as a specialist one-down position player with such a low average and his track record in ODI matches has been pretty bad in last 3 years… so purely based on his career performance in ODI matches, i dont think he has much of a case

now lets talk strategically. Younis is not a good strike rotator, takes good 30/40 balls to settle in. Can we afford him with misbah, fawad alam and asad shafiq in the ODI team. Ok fine…lets kick asad shafiq out but we still need fawad alam and misbah. Both average way better then younis in ODIs plus misbah is the skipper..so can we have younis, then misbah and then fawad in the team for a 50 over game? I dont think so

Ideally we need someone who can score faster with a stable performance. and if we somehow desperately need more stability, we need to try azhar or asad shafiq to look towards future. Not sure Younis has a case in the ODI team.

Now had selectors kicked him out of the test team, that would have been a different story…but no, he was kicked out of ODIs and rightly so.

Re: really?

PCB's selection has always be a puzzle to me, they will label wrong player for T20 and incorrectly select someone else for test match.

Re: really?

Actually politics especially now a days has really affected people brains. They are not ready to listen a single comments against their favorite cricketer or can't bear a single comment in favor of other cricketer which they don't like. So, they show their anger / frustration by comments other players fans.

I think in cricket its very easy to argue on a cricketer performance by showing some stats, some memorable innings etc. rather then to start bashing each other but unfortunately it has become our tradition and we all including me, you or others are part of this tradition.
