^ This CM. When u start focusing deep and challenging someone by bringing his / her family in, you take his right away (or tend to take it way) to further argue. Its like a girl in life 1 says that all desi men suck and you ask, does it include your dad and brothers too?
Do you include yourself as a member of a violent/uncivilized nation with no tolerance at all? Does that mean you, your family, the people you work with, who work for you are all violent uncivilized people with no tolerance?
We all know Yazdi does not include himself or anybody he knows in the line of violent uncivilized people and for all essential purpose is not one. But neither is the average joe in Pakistan. The idea of looking down upon society in a blanket statement while excluding yourself and your inner circle is nothing short of hubris.
And I intend no such thing. I merely want to ask him if he considers himself part of Pakistani society or not. He is welcome to say he doesn't.
I have a simple question for you. If a more conservative member like rommel posted a comment like "All americans are murders and war crimes reflecting a racist anti-islamic society". Would you think that is an acceptable statement?
Oh yes I apologize for adding his family into the question. It was a douche move. Feel free to edit if you so wish.
Yazdi said . we are indeed becoming .... That was not a definite statement (like the one in Rommels example)
then again, yazdi is a pakistani, living in that nation. He was expressing his observation as member of that society. Also, I will definitely argue with Rommel if he says what you wrote, but I will not start a feedback thread.
and btw, keep in mind that you are accusing Yazdi of the same behavior that you are presenting - generalization that is. Based on one mod's personal opinion, you started your thread with a generalized statement of "Why are your PA mods clueless about Pakistan?"
Actually it wasn't personal to Yazdi. It was that thread in general. You had two mods calling Pakistanis intolerant and uncivilized. Your own rules say saying anything against the motherland is not tolerated. Check the rules thread in PA I know its somewhere there.
And I will quote you now TLK. Quite being analytical. Becoming and is - is simply nitpicking at grammar. You may wish to read the entire thread before you go ahead with this. Because Yazdi and Amal both go ahead and defend the fact that Pakistani society is intolerant.
So essentially you are saying you would argue with rommel on making blanket statements regarding US society. But you agree in general with Yazdi when he states Pakistani society is intolerant and uncivilized. You don't see the obvious with all of this?
We are both patriots and have different sort of expertise.. I have no doubt on your patriotism... and we are both required to uplift our society...
We both would like to see our country prosper.. although we have a different outlook how this will happen..
I strongly believe to uplift this country you need to enhance business.. while you may think it will proper only if we let down America/or some other countries... bur the objective is same.. uplift this country..
I am doing my job by generating business.. you are doing your job by letting down other countries.. let's hope both of us are successful....

Yazdi you and your group of companies are doing a wonderful job in providing job opportunities to thousands of Pakistanis and also contributing to the welfare of the state. It is easy to sit on a keyboard and be all arrogant as to how patriotic we are but in reality do they (including myself) have anything concrete to show about? People need to think about that before becoming all holy than thou.
We are all Pakistanis and have different point of view. just because one point of view is different from another does not give anyone the right to call other peoples point of view as anti Pakistan.
Being self-critical is always good. In every country, forward looking people are critical of what s happening in their country - because they have positive ideas for improvement. That voice is slapped down by the right with an acacusation that "you dont love this country". Applies to India, US or anywhere else.
In most cases, the right wing nuts are the same ones who also do chest thumping and send others' kids to the frontline. Thankfully, that is where the analogy breaks down in OP's case.
