Re: Really, what's with the hostility around here...
Personally I don't think we can eliminate shia-sunni-wahabbi kinda discussions from this forum. Its unrealistic to expect that, bcz this forum is a microcosm of whats happening all around us in real life. These issues are real and unfortunately people die every day over these differences.
Its good that some ppl have knowledge and want to share it. Having said that, people should also look outside their tunnel vision, and not turn every discussion into a slinging match with repetitive arguments. Believe me at some point you will yourself realize how boring all this is and will walk away. My hope is before you walk away, you realize that you can also spend your time more productively on other topics where you can participate and enjoy much more.
Re: Really, what's with the hostility around here...
Allow me to explain something to you. The difference between Shias and Sunnis goes back to when? Yep. And how many people have been killed and have died over it? Yep. And how many hours of the day have been spent arguing these theological/historical arguments over what hadith's say, and over what Ali (R) said and what the Rasul (SAW) said , and what Aisha (R) said, etc etc? And how has this decreased the difference between Sunnis and Shias?
Yep.
I suggest you accept that Sunnis and Shias are different to a slight extent. And that this difference doesn't impede you from being a muslim whether you are Sunni or Shia. And leave the judging up to God. I think God is intelligent enough to figure out who to throw in Hell and who to send up to Heaven. And arguing about it on forums and going to the extent of throwing around personally insulting remarks, and negatively toned statements is not really going to facilitate you getting into Heaven whether or not you believe that Ali (R) should have been the first caliph. Because guess what? He wasn't.

So cope. Ali (R) did, and I'm sure you can too.
We have no problems with anyone but folks in this thread have issues against Fiqah Jafferia.
