Really struggling with jewellery!

Hey Girls!!

I’m really really struggling to find the right jewellery for my wedding. I’ve searched high and low and i can’t find the right thing. I have two problems at the mo.

Firstly my mum wants me to wear real gold which I don’t have a problem with but I am going to have the set custom made. I have always wanted to wear a matha pathi on my wedding but i cannot afford to have one made out of gold as i will never wear it again. So i do not know what to do… I really don’t want to wear artificial. but then wearing a gold necklace and earrings with an artificial matha pathi n nath may look stupid. What do u guys think? Do you know any good places in UK where I could look for jewellery? plz help me out.

Second problem… I can’t find a nice set. I’m from the UK and all they have is the ugly bright gold or those dangly ‘moti’ things. I seen a few styles in pk when i went there but my mum didn’t ‘trust’ the jewellers. Does anyone have any pictures of nice pakistani style jewellery? Even if it is artificial if its nice i may be able to replicate it. I’ll post some pics of the style I am looking for. They could be abit different but i want something with a nice intricate design!!

Anybody that helps me will get lots and lots of duaa’s from me!! lol

Jewellers make artificial jhoomers, Mata paatis and tikkas based off the set u get. Believe me, it doesn't look artificial at all. I say you should just do that

Re: Really struggling with jewellery!

What kind of jewellers? like the artificial jewellers? Do u know any the in the UK.

Oh no sorry I don't. I thought you'd be ordering from Pakistan. If u go to any gold jeweller in the UK, ask If u can order artificial jhoomers tikkas etc. Some may do it!

Re: Really struggling with jewellery!

no probs thank u! Maybe someone else can help me??

Re: Really struggling with jewellery!

My valima set is very simillar to the first set you posted.. I got it from Karachi, New era. Do you have New era in UK? Maybe you could go there?

I got earrings and necklace from there and had them make a artifical bindya with it.. Seriously, you can't even tell! Go for an artifical one too, this way you can invest more in the necklace/earrings :)

Re: Really struggling with jewellery!

Aaww thank you. I'll ask my mum 'trusted' jeweller!! Lol

Re: Really struggling with jewellery!

Yea, You can just give him a pic of a set you like and they should be able to copy it! :)
