Re: really bad rash.... :(
Is the rash due to excessive moisture? If so, you could consider reuseable nappies to allow the area to 'breathe'.
I'd also consider using a barrier cream to prevent the rash in the first place?
I use Sudocrem and Simple's Barrier Cream. I'll be using reuseable nappies when baby is Inshallah a bit older.
If the rash is nothing like your little one has had before you may wish to return to your doctor and ask them for a new prescription.
Re: really bad rash.... :(
since the area is really sensitive... dont try cornstarch and dont use cream do closer to anus area.. if u know what i mean.... Thora sa khula choro usko like without any nappy, in a changing sheat.. let her` dry naturally....plus take sarsoun ka tail and mic it in some water so that the texture is creamy... apply it in the area... also you can take a diaper, wet it with the oil mixture and make her wear it for some time...
Re: really bad rash.... :(
mall - this is something my daughter has suffered in recent days. Like your daughter normal rashes cream was not working on her and precisely this is what doctor asked me too that if rashnil is working or not. You need to show her to ped or a dermatologist. I consulted a dermatologist for mine and alhamdolillah in just 1 day I can see the difference.
It's pretty obvious that the usual zinc oxide is not working on her. I agree with tashfeen on leaving her without diaper for a while this is what dermatologist also suggested me but I was a bit concerned about her getting cold.
I am feeling bad for your little one ....must be very painful for her . i hope her rashes clears up soon.
Re: really bad rash.... :(
Yeah, it just takes time for the rash to heal. Leaving her open as much as possible helps. I've found my daughter's rash gets worse when she's constipated and/or eating something new, may be an allergy or something her body is getti g used to.
Re: really bad rash.... :(
thanks sooo sooo mch guys hugs i tried puttin vaseline and then nizoral and then sudocrem on top seems to work and her redness has decreased... lets see if it stays that way.diamond whats rashnil... something for her rashes i guess. u got it from here in pak rite?ive tried to leave her open for a min or two or blow air in her area so she feels better... ive also noticed her potty color is different sometimes.. its not one color.. sometimes its v pale green (like really pale)... sometimes mustardy green and sometimes med to dark green potty.... ive not given her anything new.. only ceralac.. as i said i m just sooo frightened of givin anything new becus of her colic :(

you can find all about baby poop in above link. As far as I know when poop is green it indicates that baby has got cold atleast this is what my mom has told me.
Rashnil is an abbot’s cream for diaper rashes . It’s pretty effective for the normal rashes.
Re: really bad rash… ![]()
hey there… diamond if green means cold then my daughter has cold since monthhhhhhsssssss!
seriously she has green poop i think since she strted formula… that is after 3 mnths .. before it was mustard yellow… but its so different these days… sometimes its pale green… sometimes greenish white and sometimes green color… ill check the links

Re: really bad rash.... :(
once my son developed a bad recurring rash for couple of weeks too (first time mother) a friend suggested to leave the diaper off and put child thore open without diaper. She also suggested to wash with each diaper change(yes drove me crazy) and dry completely before putting another diaper on.
Personally I think washing helped A LOOOTTTTT, he never had a rash afterwards.
Re: really bad rash.... :(
The stool color you have described is normal. I think you are breast and bottle feeding both?
Do not use wipes but use cotton balls and baby wash to wash her diaper area (or just soap and water) after she passes stool, if only urine then just use water.
The key is twipe the area completly dry with a tissue etc after cleaning and before putting on a fresh diaper.
Change wet/ soiled diapers promptly
Use vaseline even when the baby doesn't have a rash.
If you put a bit of baking soda in her bath water that soothes and helps heals too.
Re: really bad rash.... :(
Oh yeah, we wash with water at every change, unless we're out somewhere. Makes a big difference. Avoid wipes.
Re: really bad rash.... :(
^ Wipes are really bad?
Re: really bad rash.... :(
^ Baby skin is sensitive. Tho sensitive wipes exist, nothing beats plain water, so unless you're out and can't take the child to be washed it is best to wash with water. You can also take a cotton swab or something and wet with water to wipe (which we used to do), but sometimes the texture can be too much for particularly sensitive babies. Now we just take her for a wash in the sink, no big deal.
Re: really bad rash.... :(
Wipes are not all that bad but they are made for convience not to replace proper cleaning after pee and poop. I am also guilty of using wipes when I used to feel lazy but once I started washing him after diaper change unless I dodn't have a choice I didn't go back to wiping.
Also washing them can somewhat facilitate early potty training which is great.
Re: really bad rash.... :(
yeah wipes are gud but nothin subsititutes for water... thats true. i used wipes for abt 1-2 months... i strted washing her in sink then each time i changed her diaper... whether its potty or urine... but still she got rashes. thankfully i got prescribed a different med and i use that on top of vaseline aloe vera and it helped tremendously!! vaseline was not workin so i tried the aloe vera one and it did beautifully!!
Re: really bad rash.... :(
^yay!
