My baby will not poop unless we use glycerin suppositories. Weve tried excercise, juices, water, prune puree, oatmeal cereal, baking soda baths, massages of all kinds, sticking things like thermometers n qtips up the butt…everything!
Whyyyy cant he poop without pain?? Can i give him desi ghee or butter??? I am desperate!
Any totkas that actually work??? Pleaseeee! Hes formula fed n 6 mnths old

Prune juice is much better than prune puree… Faster acting
Is he teething…some kids get constipation when they r until the tooth has finally erupted.

1/2 cup pear sauce everyday since there isn’t any fiber in his diet.
Formula can be constipating.

Prune juice should work right away, dilute it with water first though

My daughter has had constipation issues ever since she started solids. One thing that made a big difference was switching from rice cereal to oatmeal. But once she was a bit older, the constipation issues have come back. While your baby is under 1 and his diet is restricted, prune juice/pear juice or the fruit purees themselves are probably best.
Also, around 8-9 months when the constipation issues became chronic we started holding my daughter in a sitting position over the toilet when she was straining. She was not able to put pressure correctly by herself. This has really helped her.

It’s probably best if you take your son to the Dr’s. Best to be on safe side.

I have heard that honey with warm water helps and butter make it worse. Try giving him mashed fruit regularly esp pears !

Try warm water with gripe water. Or warm water with a little pure orange juice. Not from concentrate.

i have use honey as well and it made some difference but I don’t know whether you want to give honey to a 9 month old yet

He’s only 6 months. OJ and honey are not options, according to most docs. I didn’t realize gripe water was helpful for constipation.

i use castor oil just mix half tea spoon in milk it iwll help
