Real life stories - 'Popcorn' or 'Learning' ?

Whether one come to know of them in real life or online, some people seem to enjoy knowing or discussing and updating themselves about stories of people who have been suffering in life due to different reasons such as divorce, arguements, misunderstandings, unfaithfullness, fights…etc.

Do you think it is useful to spend time in trying to know the details of what some people might have gone through in life, even if they are not related to us ?

I know some people in real life who wouldn’t like their real life disasters to be disclosed to people, yet some people might try to know about the details of what ACTUALLY happened and discuss them, mostly due to curiosity

Re: Real life stories - 'Popcorn' or 'Learning' ?

Its not a useful thing somtimes people use that specific information against the people who they are taking it from (which i have seen in many cases)

Personally if i know somone has been through a tough time i dotn speak about the subject its none of my business, i just try to be more positive for them and in some cases for their sanity.

I dont know....I think i am curious... but will NEVER repeat what i heard to somebody else... cause i know how people make fun... been there done that....
I'd rather spend my time doing good and nice thing...
Just a bit of practice and we are on the right track...:)

We should all learn from the mistakes of others , it is not good idea to make mistakes yourself and then learn the lessons of life , it is very costly way of learning.
So curiosity is not a bad thing , in fact it is encouraged by experts in human behavior, relationship experts and academics.
Enjoying the misery of others is cruel and sadistic behavior, if you can identify such a person stay away from them.
