Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

I’ve had my experiences with cyber-relationships. I can honestly say they just dont match up to real-life relationships. There is something about seeing a person in real life on a regular basis that makes you respect a person more.

Discuss.

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

how many marks is the question worth, miss?

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

Its too easy to be someone you are not on the internet. That is the biggest defect to me in online relationships. They are so FAKE.

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

Being JUST friends online is ok. What you see if what you get. Being more than friends online is NOT ok.

That’s your Maddy Bhai’s golden rule :k:

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

I totally agree. I didn't really know my fiance as much before meeting him in person. Now I respect him more than before and we connect better.

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

Obviously real life relationships are better because they are real....online relationships are good for fun...to pass time. However, they shud never be taken seriously. I mean we shud not get involved with someone whom we havent seen in person

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

haha.. supposedly in pakistan finding your spouse on msn is becoming popular!!! ahhahaha

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

well if your only alternative is the corner sweaty panwala and the scrawny dulha your parents have lined up for you...

i dont blame them.

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

PCG... I dont Know U.. But I am Still in Luv with ya :D

So.... it works :p

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

dunno. i have a friend who was never really as close a friend until he became just an msn friend. another friend successfully translated his real life friendship to an msn friendship. im considerably more open and "real" online than in real life, simply because its easier to think of virtual existence as an extension of your mind, so you dont put up as many barriers.

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

hey when did u get engaged??? Did I miss something here…

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

its all about how your heart feels for someone
if u feel a connection with someone (not just talking abt "romantic relationships" here) then u FEEL that connextion with that PERSON and online/real life dont matter

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

You are welcome PCG

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

on a REGULAR basis…

:bash:

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

:smack: .. lol. I call my boyfriend my fiance.. :hehe:

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

So true..

Take me for an example, I have been in an online relationship for over five years now. It keeps getting stronger day by day and I love it. We have met in person just once for like an hour and a half. :teary1:

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

i met this girl at a party once, and gave her my msn sn.
shes in 8th grade and so freakin annoyin.

but i agree w/ the openess thing. with some people its easier to talk to them online than in person.

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

Thats cute. One of my cousins met his wife online and they were together for five years before they got married. Mashallah they are really cute together.

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

so anyone wanna exchange msn id's and become my cyber friend :p

Ehem joke aside...another thing with cyberfriendships are that they can cross physcial boundaries. Meaning that u cannot meet a person who lives 10000 km away from u on a regular basis in real life. But u can meet the person on a regular basis on the internet.
How many of u have cyberfriends living in other countries then urself?

hi
hi

Re: Real-Life Friends vs. Cyber-Friends

Most of you have pointed out the benefits to cyberfriends, but there are many negatives too.... you dont get to see the reall person, just what they let you see.
