So I hear thats where the $$ is at; and at this time I’m looking for something to fall back on while I continue my part time under grad. degree.
What are the requirements and qualifications that I have to possess? If I have to take courses, whats the time I’m looking at in class? I hear there is a point system as well? I’m just looking to make some quick cash in turn applies to a bigger picture.
In the end I don’t want to spend $1000+ to get those courses and not go anywhere in the industry.
sorry dude, could help you with the US but not with Canada. Although I will give you something to think about, one of my pals who is harvard lawyer, stopped his law career to get into real estate and now acquires land for cellular towers for sprint etc and has been doing exceedingly well.
so when you look into real estate, its not just selling houses, it could be commerical property, industrial land, agricultural land etc. Do some research on where you want to be.
Laws are different for different places. I did take the course in NY.
It shouldnt cost you any where from $ 200-300 including your license. Centry 21 and Prudential are pretty good. There are others but again it depends what neighborhood etc.
Sometimes brokers offer free training and if they like the sales rep they do teach them enough to pass the test. [Thats what i have heard].
Rental is the best one ....money comes there easily. I would not suggest you to get in agricultural or industrial. There are much more higher risks involve in it.
Commercial, Residential and Rental are your best options i think. There are no requirements to be honest. I have seen some lallo panjo sitting behind beautiful table and selling houses. You need good communication, marketing, advertising, speech/explaning skills. I can bet yo 50% of these brokers never went to college.
Sales rep is basically chamcha of the broker. You cannot do anything on your own unless its been instructed by your broker. To an extent you are a yesman of broker.
