Can anyone tell me about the real estate market in the UK. Namely Birmingham. How are the prices at the moment? Can you get a good return in investing in real estate in the UK on a short term basis (3 years)?

Prices of real estate or housing market as it is known in UK has been rising over 10% a year. Even now you would be able to get a good return over a 3 year period. However the entry price is high, and therefore the actual return will depend on the ratio of capital/mortgage. Moreover the penalties for early repayment (read 3 to 5 years) on mortgages is high, so be careful.
