I want to know something… My husbands dad died a couple of months ago and now he reads the Quran for his dad he says that it will help his father.
My question is if that is true?
Can reading the Quran for ur loved one help them?
I follow Sunni Islam hanafi

I’m away from notes so unable to provide reference right now. As per my lil knowledge, a deceased can be benifited from three ways:

1- Any thing which deceased given in charity and it beneficial for a human while using it by any means.
2- Share of (good) knowledge
3- Supplications (dua’s) made by deceased child

So reading Qur’an by deceased son (your husband) and after that making dua for his forgivness or else, will help. Even only making dua on daily basis will also help.
