reading nikkah.

couple of questions.

can a mullani do the nikkah reading n qubooling instead of a qazi? if no then why not?
why do molana ji charge for reading nikkah? shudnt it be a naiki wala kaam and free of charge?
can a dulha or dulhan read their own qubooling and dua stuff?

oh c'mon now.. i am serious about these questions!

There are three questions not couple :p

  1. There is no need for molvi or mullani for nikkah, a guy can read his
nikkah himself if he wishes so; offcourse in the presence of Gawah(witness).

  2. Molana ji charge for comming to the ceremony and alocating his time for naiki wala kaam so he charge for his time. If you go to the masjid for your nikaah, the same moulana ji wont charge any thing and will give you blessing; As I have seen it in my brother and friend's nikkah in masjid, free of cost.

  3. Same as point 1.

Now give me $10 for my time.

Suroor, I understand this nikkah is religious way of declaring a couple husband and wife in the presence of witnesses.... well, honey there is no need for that. you can be a wife to a man you love and there is no need to bring religion in this.
