Do you read non verbal cues?
Do you realize if the person is uncomfortable talking about something, do you pay attention to the body language and change yourself accordingly? Or no clue apart from the usual if they have their arms crossed in front of you means the person is on the defensive(which I found out is not always the case, may indicate attentiveness too)
What are the cues that you really focus on?
For me, it is cultural/sign of respect, I dont usually look in people’s eyes when I talk to them, especially if they are older.
In American culture though, it is said that eye contact is important to show trustworthiness. What do you think?Would you change your way?
