One of the finest magazines for all ages. Do people still read it with that fervor?
One of the memories from school and early college days was, looking for the spots where we could find it cheap. Very very cheap. Most often it was “thelay” wala or anyone picking old magazines from here n there. Even with weak vocabulary we tried to finish readers digest every month.
Anyone else had the similar passion for Readers digest?
Baray naik kum keetay ne. Like that one time when I found a hole in a lota and I thought how hole-y and useless…so I chucked it out the window in the name of thorough hygiene.

In 1990 and 2000 the people basic source of entertainment and knowledge was the books, magazines and journals and now in 2018, there are only few readers as all readers convert to digital readers.
Indeed one of the best.
Back when we were kids, my father subscribed it for us. We used to get the Asia edition in Pakistan every month, even though most of the content was American. Laughter, the best medicine, Lifes like that, and All in a days work were my first stops.
I heard a couple of years ago that it was being shut down due to lack of readership perhaps…hope it doesnt come to that.
