Losing weight is difficult in itself, but when u reach a weight loss plateau it’s an even bigger test, and it does get frustrating and u lose any little motivation u had to begin with and give up. Well I’ve been trying to lose weight, lost some weight over the past few months, but now I feel that my weight loss is slowing down and soon it will completely come to a halt! I’m sure a lot of people have gone through this phase, so I was wondering if people who have experienced it could share their ideas as to how they overcame it quickly and experts in health and fitness such as PunchingMonk and Angel Eyez and others could give some tips on it too
Thanks in advance!
And Good luck to everyone who’s trying to lose weight!
Re: Reaching a weight loss plateau...
It is quite normal for people to reach a halt in their weight loss program at some point in time.
I would recommend changing your workout routine a bit. Change your schedule around, change your cardio by doing things that your body is not used to.... (ie swimming, biking, skating, jogging outside instead of treadmil etc). Just try new forms of exercise or activities.
This may sound strange but you can also take a break from working out and start your regular routine back up again a week or two later. This will trick your body into thinking it hasnt been worked out for ages :D it works trust me.
Another thing I need to mention is that dieting is not always the answer. It is fine in the beginning but after your fitness level has increased your body needs more calories for nourishment and to work harder. If you find yourself being hungry all the time especially after a workout..... that it is your body's way of telling you it needs more calories.
