Haa haa~ thanks ladies yes i had asked how do you dispose of them or who do yougive them to when you are bored of them or outgrow them etc. Any suggestions for the US?

U.S. has (desi) organization that take old desi clothes back to our pak. both american clothes and desi are accepted. i can give you the contact for westcoast.

Just like the other popular justification for not dropping food items at the foodbank bin ‘desis/muslims dont use the foodbank’.
They do. (and in the case of the food bank, so what if they didn’t, its still a good thing to help others no matter what their faith or ethnicity) They just dont talk about it.
Its fine to send old clothes and things back home, usually thats what my family does when anyone is going back home.
Its also okay to give the clothes to any charitable organization, in my city i’ve noticed the goodwill displaying desi outfits in their store window, granted that was in a very multicultural part of the city. But why wouldn’t desis shop at thrift stores if they had a need to? At lot of them have no choice.
Another alternative (my mum’s tactic) is to ask around very discreetly if anyone is in need or knows of anyone that may have a use for these clothes,etc..

Haala- i did go to the drop off at Salvation army here in Worcester and their description of the type of donations they were looking for did not match shalwar kameez outfits.
Frontier do let me know the contact of some organizations cause i do want these clothes to be of use to people who need them.
