*this morning after eating sehri, i looked out of my attic window and i saw the most beautiful cresent moon (chudawein ka chand) ever… den i told my mam and she looked at it and we made dua (supplication).
i was just wondering could this be a sign that laila-tul-qadar nite is in actual fact today. *

i am observing the crescent right now aswell. Since the skies are real clear, its creating a very beautiful image along with the serenity of the morning.

^chaudiwaan ka chaand is full moon, not new moon

You're looking for divine signs, trying to feel for things which may or may not be there. Laila tul Qadr does not necessarily occur on the 27th of Ramadan. It could've already passed, how would you account for these concocted signs and feelings then? Some say the Night of power occurs in the last ten days of ramadan, others say its anytime during the year. No one knows where it maybe hidden.
Is it any wonder He has kept Laila Tul Qadr a secret because then it would be too easy for us. How selfish are we to remember Him one night.
Stop making these customs, Stop this idiocy, start believing fully instead of one measly day. How selfish are we . . .
Pray each night, every night and day and see what comes through. Not just one day.

our maulana said da same thing....he said there's no assurance of Laila tul Qadar bein on da 27th....it can be da 21st or da 27th or otha dates dat he mentioned which i can't remember
but that doesn't mean dat u shuld only pray on dat nite n forget bout the others....it's really pathetic on how we have made up all these things in Pakistan and India and act upon them so strictly....
may Allah(swt) help us all and forgive us for our sins and give us hidaya to act upon da true religion and not da things dat we ourselves have made up...ameen sum ameen

if one fixes his mind on a certain date, he/she sticks to it....
as is the case with the 27th night....
u go to the mosque 1 minute late and u get to pray on the road cuz so many ppl show up....
even those who never even pray any other prayer will turn out on the 27th night of ramadhan....
THIS is what we must avoid....
