I think this is a good move. Rather than put these guys in jail, then have jail breaks, and these goons go free again, once a terrorist is convicted and charged on accounts of mass murder → immediate death penalty should ensue. For those involved directly and indirectly in the attacks in fact.
this is a good move ONLY if the poor alone are NOT put to death. [case in point: ShahruKh Jatoi must NOT get away with life sentence with ALL the perks!]
Yeah, I think at this point the death penalty might be the only thing to get the violence under control. Maybe if people know they'll be hung without mercy if they join terrorist groups, violent political groups (ie all of the "democratic" groups in Pakistan - PML, PPP, MQM, etc), then maybe the citizen population will refrain from supporting these goons, and say "maafi, jee, you can bother the crap out of me I will not join you".
And yes, if applied to the very people who run these political parties, may do the whole country a lot of good to go through criminal cleansing. If the crime is punishable by death in the Quran, then deliver death to all those who deserve it - murderers, adulterers, rapists, and the like.
