The fact is that Bush has been protecting Musharraf for far too long and we have a lot of blame on our side for not taking the reality seriously. Let’s face it, our utility to Americans is primarily in terms of the “war on terror.” What geniuses advising Musharraf thought they could take US aid and praises but still “preserve” the Taliban option?!
To put it crudely, we are like a dog catcher. We took money from a house owner promising to catch mad dogs in the neighborhood but we thought we could keep delaying the dog catching and milking the people for more money. BAD IDEA! Sooner or later the people who pay the money are going to ask for results.
Did Musharraf’s “kitchen cabinet” think that Pakistan was getting the aid because of the tasty Biryani and Qorma we feed American officials during their visits here?:halo:
Anyway, I hope our GHQ sees the reality. This is not like Pressler amendment because nukes were necessary for our survival unlike the use of the Talibans and jihadis. Let’s clean up our mess before there is another terrorist attack in America. If we wait too late and an attack happens, not even our nukes will save us from ruin.
