I have seen it in films and just read in another thread here that some people re-apply deodorant during the day. I thought one could only apply it immediately after taking a shower. Any other time would make me feel very yucky. Applying it over already smelly underarm would be nasty, no?

I dont see any problem with re-applying the deodrant more than once.

BO prone? What's that? Applying deodorant after naaye naaye daily is like brushing teeth twice a day. What does that have to do with BO?. You put it on before it gets to BO.

I re-apply deodrent now and then. It doesn't matter unless you are a real smelly cat!!

Hmmmmm, if you need to reapply over deodorant, don't you need to find a deodorant that works?? There are some that are different strengths.
I'd say try a different brand or a more expensive one (more cost effective to apply only once than over and over).

Well if you sweat like a dog 24/7 then of course you'll either have to reapply the deo or take shower twice a day and wear it again. Girl don't sweat like guys do so they're not as yucky as them so of coures just like Irem aunty, they'd apply deo without even take shower.

Not really. See, girls shave their underarm pits, so...i dunno...if we get sweaty, its not that big of a deal. Maybe guys just have a higher amount of sweat secretion during the day, and that's why you find it disgusting.
Its not like the deoderant ploughs thru slime when being re-applied. Maybe its different for men.

I guess it is different for us. I just don’t like the feeling of deodorant head rolling against dry armpits. The best time is right after the shower when it contains the right amount of moisture.
And I don’t agree with all the conditions you guys came up with. The bottom line for me is that why the need for re-application? Is it because you are starting to smell BO? Isn’t it too late for re-application at that point? In movies, some of these characters would wake up the next morning and apply deodorant without taking a shower.

. i hate thoe roll on things. the germs from the armpit goes on to the roller. any how if u shave ur underarms it smells alot less.

waleed miaan, couple of things for you;
- Sprays are not environment friendly. They pollute air.
- my armpits don't smell any more or less regardless of shaving or not

i find roll ons quite disgusting,,, specially if uve got some sort of growth under the arms... sprays work fine... and environmentally speaking, using a spray deodorant wouldnt bring the day of judgement any closer.
having said that,, coming to the original question.... If uve taken a shower in the morning, and applied ur deo, it should be enough for the day, but say the day is particularly hot, and ur sweating, i find no harm in using the spray again, infact, i keep one spray at home and one in my car and occasionally do use it. unlike funguy, I have found that my spray gives me a nice cooling effect and i feel fresh again if i use my deo a second time on a hot day. having said that, I am very particular about my spray and only use one particular type. All the others just dont give me that satisfaction and in some cases, e.g nivea's deodorants for men, I find it hard to breath in the air after appying it,,, and dont like it at all... maybe i,m allergic to it,,, and no i,m not asthematic.
so yeah,,, no problems here regarding the reapplication of deodorant, as long as we are talking one day... and not one week :p
