Anyone watching these matches? Sialkot is just too strong and I think they will this year as well. But I’m rooting for Lahore Lions.

Karachi Zebras came close to beating Sialkot Stallions but couldn’t ![]()
Re: RBS Twenty-20 Cup 2010
Yeah that really was a good match. Faisal Iqbal played well but couldn't finish it off for Karachi.

Re: RBS Twenty-20 Cup 2010
I saw the dolphins game and Sarfraz's keeping was out of this world. He took a blinder of a catch right in front of first slip...I wish you all could see the highlights of that match. The next day, even Moin Khan and Shoaib Mohammad, in the pre-game discussions were praising Sarfraz and saying the captain and coach should learn a lesson and give him a proper chance with the gloves and with the bat.
Moin has coached him with PIA a couple years back and Rashid has worked him a lot at the NCA and both have talked about his amazing talent with gloves and bat....and im sure they are not wrong. Unfortunetly, our captain and coach have a love affair going on with Akmal.
Anyway, back to the topic, Dolphins, Wolves and Stallions are the clear favorites for this tournament...and I'd love to see a Dolphins and Stallions final.
Also, its surprising to see Mohammad Sami leading Dolphins and Afridi player under him. Although they have played only one game, Sami didnt too well with the bowl himself, but he seemed to be a pretty aggressive captain. I guess this also shows Afridi really doesnt care who the captain is and plays for the team.

ya i saw that whole match sarfraz was amazing but the thing is that he did get small chances but he could not convert it into big ...........with thr bat he is no where near to akmal ........a good wicket keeper but i dont think he should be given chance in the upcoming world cup ........
Afridi has shown that he does not play for captaincy he was a team player n always remain a team player no matter who the captain is ..........
n it was good to see him with youngsters n tapping their backs

As I have always said that, Senior akmal can be kept in the team as a specialist batsman only. We need a specialist keeper who can bat, not a specialist batsman who can keep ( in this case Akmal).
Back to topic. I am not following this series at all, cause its not telecasted abroad. but I do work for RBS :D

but i dont think akmal can get his place as specialist batsman.........anyways if u want the lni i can give u
Re: RBS Twenty-20 Cup 2010
Yeah that catch was amazing. Similar to what Haddin held onto of Salman Butt in Sydney, I think. While his keeping is alright he has to improve his batting.
Re: RBS Twenty-20 Cup 2010
When Kamran started his career he was the same, if not worse than Sarfraz with the bat. Plus if u compare their domestic batting records Sarfraz is ahead of Akmal there as well. Like I have said before, confidence is key to a players success and unfortunetly everytime Sarfraz has been given a chance, the captain and coach have publicly backed Akmal and it's only because of PCB interference after all the flak Kamran recieves from the media that the team managment is forced to play Sarfraz.
The thing which increases my confidence in Sarfraz is that arguebly our 2 all time best keepers, Moin and Latif have both publicly backed Sarfraz and both have worked with Kamran and Sarfraz extensively.
There have been some good games so far but some teams like the Rhinos, Bears, Hawks are way to weak to be competing against the likes of Stallions, Dolphins and Wolves.

yeah sure please provide that.

I do agree with you, Sarfaraz is a good keeper.
However nothing against Sarfaraz/Moin or Rashid but I have stopped looking at ex-player's support for any particular player. Examples: Imran Khan kept telling us Mohammad Sami is great, Saeed Anwar thinks Salman Butt is best opener currently (for Pakistan), Inzamam thinks Yousuf is fine captain etc.
Re: RBS Twenty-20 Cup 2010
^ I agree on that. The pathetic and ‘to stay in the news’ statements from the likes of Inzi, Sarfraz Nawaz, and Imran Khan have really made us doubt their ability to spot a real talent.
Has anyone seen Riaz Afridi playing for the Rhino’s? The guy has turned into the old Adnan Sami of cricket. I remember watching this guy play in the U-19 WC probably like 4 years ago and he was fit and I thought he would have a bright future ahead of him. He should seriously be banned untill he regains some fitness ![]()
