Razzaq future captain of Pakistan !!!!

i dont mind it…
he’s a great cricketer…
will be te world’s best allroudner pretty soon…
but i think this guy is too cool for being a captain…

what do u think???

I agree, Razzaq is a very fine all rounder and if he continues to develop as he has over the last few seasons than he has a great future ahead of him. A stint with middlesex will do him good.

Razaq is very young... If he is to become a successful captain, he should try and build up some authority in the team as time passes. Captaincy is an issue that has always been in doldrums ever since Imran's desmise from the Pakistani cricket scene. Despite that our success rate has been good. Maybe we as a nation are not very forigiving towards our cricket captains. Other countries have captains that go on and on as captains despite poor success rate.

I really have reservations about Razzaq becoming captain. For one thing, he's our most consistent player. I wouldn't want to burden him with captaincy because a decline in his performance will definitely affect the team. Secondly, I doubt the guy can put together a gramatically correct sentence in English if his life depended on it. He will have some serious trouble with his communication skills. Don't know how he's going to cope with that given he dropped out of school around grade 5. Pretty sad!

I know that should education/intellect be a factor in appointing captain is a huge debate. But as I said earlier, I would not want to do anything that would affect Razzaq's performance because he's perhaps our most important player.

Well, I think Razzaq is one of PK's finest players, but I think he's too young right now. But I think throughout the years, uska experience will grow, and that he will do great as a captain. So, YES I definately think he'd be a good captain in the future.

Well, he does not need English to communicate with his own team mates, would he? Dropping out of grade 5 is a decision he probably has no regrets about. Hes also set out to play county soon. I dont think that his disability of the English language will be a factor in determining if he gets to be the captain or not.

i have always admired this player he is really gd been watching him since 1999 world cup … becoming a captin well he has some time to go but becoming a leading all rounder there is nto doubth about it

sambrialian i am sure u would also know that jawaed miandad could not speak a word of english and if u see him now his engligh is very gd

Communication skills are very important for a captain. Even more so these days because of the highly charged atmosphere that these matches are played in.

Not to mention how very embarrasing it gets to see the captain of your team mumbling in front of the international press.

Agree ....

He is the best allrounder ,...

Even If You Are Basically Stupid
You Can Still Meet Nice People !

Razzaq is an extremely talented and gutsy allrounder. He is the best allrounder in the team - leagues ahead of Azhar Mahmood.

Omer Qureshi has been known to jump the gun with his columns though and I think this one is another example.

Razzaq is not captaincy material - it would be an extra burden on him - he is still very young - and maybe in another 6 years or so he can be in the running. Till then, Yousef Youhana is the next Captain of Pakistan once Waqar goes. The Captaincy seems to be something that would suit Youhana and bring out the best in him. Razzaq should be left alone - he is to valuable a player to go the Ian Botham way.

Well, as long as he wins us the games, doesnt matter if he makes a fool out of himself with the international press, the international press can stick it!

INDEED razzak is one of the finest allrounders at the moment and he has got everything to be a future captain of pakistan
he is going to be the next imran of pak
