45 minutes flat. On a bicycle.

Most would not believe, some would not recognize my face (something about the dust, heat and pollution, I think), when I would get to my destination:)

And how can I forget that shivering night in February 1990 at T&T Colony, Saddar when I wore all the warm clothes and my freind gave me the heaviest of the heavy razai. And I was still shivering. That was my first day in Rawalpindi.

Like a fireworks show during daylight! Our neighbour across the street got a mini rocket shell dumped on his lawn. We went over with water buckets to douse it. The house was off of Peshawar Road, Lane number 5. The location of their house was almost opposite to this Greek style, massive white home, with huge windows and pillars. Anyone who has been to Lane 5 would know.

I was in Pindi on that day. Our bungalow was was near the army chief's residency Was out relaxing/reading in the lawn when I started hearing the whooshing sounds, like the bombs falling from sky. At first I thought it to be a aerial attack from Injuns. Was a natural reaction. I went to the roof, higher ground, to check it out and saw a huge ball of smoke out in the distant. More whooshing sounds, but I couldnt see the bombs in the air or any airforce planes in the skies. Just around that time, got a call from Dad asking us to stay indoors and dont leave the house.
There was a lot of mayhem ofcourse and the rest is history. Was a saddest day in Pindi's history.

Im sialkoti/Lahori originally..but I married a man from pindi...so I guess im a Pindi-an. Hmm. All I know is I love dehi ballay in satellite town..hmm
I gotta say what is with the hype about Murree...etc....I was very unimpressed...whyyyy do people even bother going there?? Jeez.
