raw silk or chiffon

HI guys,

is raw silk better for shirt with kaam on it or chiffon. all my formal outfits on chiffon. and now i am thinking gettion it done on raw silk.
is the material chiffon is expensive than raw silk? i know chiffon kapra is very delicate.

I love rawsilk - I think it gives a good flow.. chiffon is delicate but mixed with georgette it gives a good fabric palette.

yea chiffon is good for pishwas, anarkali etc and straight kameez in raw silk.

There isn't much of a price difference so it boils down to what kind of look you want. Chiffon is delicate, see-through and flowy. Raw silk is much, much thicker and stiffer. Not at all flowy.

Georgette is also a good option, it is flowy but not as delicate or see-through as chiffon as it's a bit thicker and heavier. I personally prefer pure georgette over chiffon because it has a better fall.

Chiffon is much lighter,delicate and CHEAPER that China Raw Silk, plus the silk material has some shine /chamak in it which I don't like.
