Now to confirm or reject your assumption please quote the detail of halaal and haraam meat and other edible which is given in quran in chapter 5 sura maida. Open your copy of holy quran and post these verses which will explain to you and all the readers what is permissible and what is not.

Raw Meat is halaal. It is just that eating raw meat is not healthy that is why humans started cooking it…
In Sub continent, Hakeem hazraat ask to eat raw kidney for people who have diseases that can cause loss of blood, such as Hemeroids (sp?) …
You assumed it was haraam because you always saw and ate cooked meat… nothing wrong in that assumption so long as you are trying to correct your understandings… atleast you are not making Propehts of Allah into some other creations from some other planet or denying the existence of Angels altogether… Those are serious faith articles that one should be clear on…
Raw meat is halaal as long as the halaal animal was slaughtered in accordance to Islamic guidance…

Raw kibbie (raw ground beef marinated in lots of spices) is a common staple of arab people. Its even available in many halal restaurant in Detroit/Dearborn area

I am sure you can search for raw kibbie and find the restaurants that serve it as well as recipe of that
and by the way, I think that beef jerkey is raw (uncooked) dehydrated meat also, and I've eaten halal beef jerkey
Kibbeh is not raw, they cook the meat. I make it at home all the time.
