Hey everyone, i am getting married in dec and the wedding will be in karachi. I had no clue where to get my makeup done since i dont live there but neways did my research and i finally decided to get it done from Ravissant at Avari Hotel. I was just wondering if anybody has seen their bridal makeup or got any pics of real brides who got their makeup done frm there or know anything abt their bridal makeup den please do share it because I tried searching and I couldnt find any of their brides’ pics or anythin else. So, please help me out.

I don't have any pictures but I used to go to Ravissant all the time. My friend also got her wedding make up done from Ravissant a year or so ago by Seema there and it looked great.

hey thank u so much for ur reply and i am getting my makeup done frm seema because i was told she is the best one there but i still want to see pics of some of their brides :( and i am hoping that someone will post them so lets see lol. I don't get it though Ravissant is a known salon then how come none of the brides here got their makeup done frm there :s i dunno lol most of them been getting done from Sabs and thats the reason I don't want to go there cuz they r over booking and then they rush it, oh well lets see but thanks for the info :D

Hi... I'm getting married in January and I am debating Ravissant, SABS, Bina Khan and Bushra at Nabila's.
I know a friend who went to Ravissant 5 years ago and looked gorgeous... I haven;t heard of anyone else since then.
I have a slightly tanned complexion and I don't want to go to Bina Khan cuz she loads up on the bronzer [or so it seems from the pictures she has posted]... any suggestions?

umm ya i would say get it done frm Ravissant from Seema because i heard she does the best bridal makeup there. I didn't like Bina Khan's brides at all, Nabila's I heard is good as well, and Sabs I am not going there for sure since they r over booking brides and u gotta sit there for hrs n wait for ur turn n den they prolli will rush it so I dont want that n i know that they r good but since now that they r so famous, i heard that their standards have gone down because they prolli dunt spend good amount of time on a single bride since there r other brides who r waiting for their turn. My Aunt got her makeup done frm Ravissant but that was like 11 yrs ago and at that time Shaheen Saeed used to work there and she did an amazing job but I haven't seen any of their recent bridal pics.

anyone else has any reviews for ravissant?? I might get my valima makeup done from dere and dunno if i shud go dere coz i havent seen a SINGLE bride from dere:'(
I've heard Shamain is good too.
Personally I've seen average girls look stunning in makeup by bushra at nabilas and extremely gorgeous in Shaheen Saeed's makeup

best makeup is Sabs (saba) in defence karachi .......All top models going there
my sis inlaw had from there amazing ....i had no clue of avari stuff but salon in hotels mostly sucks ......go to professional

Ravissant is one of the known salon in karachi just so u know. It is one of the oldest salon. Most of the famous makeup aritist started their career from Ravissant such as Shaheed Saeed and Akif Ilyas. The only reason you won't hear much abt them cuz they don't wana be on TV and they only want to focus on the bridal makeup. Sabs is getting way too crowded since they started promoting their salon so much thru TV and fashion shows. I agree that their makeup is good but overall experience isn't great at all. I think 80% of the brides now days in pakistan is getting their makeup done from them jus cuz they r famous. They don't have a limit of brides they take per day and due to that they cannot maintain their standards. I have heard enough stories on this forum n from others especially now days abt how bad the overall experience was at Sabs. I think few weeks ago, one of my friend got ready frm there and paid extra to get her makeup done from Saba and what happened was all saba did was the eye makeup and everything else was done by other ppl because they had way too many brides and most of them wanted to get their makeup done from saba. My friend wasn't very happy about the overall experience and the makeup was nothing special. In my opinion, if its my wedding n if i am paying so much then I want just one person doing my makeup and not the whole team. Ravissant wants to keep up their standards and be professional. They want to make sure that every bride gets that special attention that she shud be getting while she is getting ready for her special day. Their charges are even more than Sabs and another reason I wouldnt go to sabs because all of their brides mostly look the same and I think I would wanna do something different than others. The only reason I asked if anyone know anything about ravisaant because I don't live in pakistan and I cant go and see their profile and on the net they dont have anything. Anyways, the point was that Ravissant isn't just ant salon at a hotel in karachi. It is one of the top salons in karachi where a lot of known makeup artist came from.
