Somehow *District 9 *didn’t make the cut for small-scale sci-fi thriller comparisons this time around.
The Brothers Strause are primarily effects artists whose work can be seen in Avatar, *Iron Man 2 *and less recently in Ratner’s X-Men: The Last Stand. But you may know them best as the directors of Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem](http://www.moviefone.com/movie/aliens-vs-predator-requiem/25981/main). Their new film, which was co-written by fellow effects guys Joshua Cordes and Liam O’Donnell, might also deal with aliens, or at least some kind of extraterrestrial phenomenon.
