to be honest Mirch .. some CV’s have a bit of summary on the top , like a few lines .. i read that but more important to me is the most recent job and skills section … thats how most of us skim the CV’s …
What I have noticed though .. when the line managers ( the departmental heads , not the HR ) read the CV’s they do read the summary bit carefully .. but then again .. summary can be similar on many CV’s … so really at the end of the day its the skills sections and recent job section that is the most attractive …

Have to agree with STA here… we shouldn’t only look at the overall ratio of applications : interviews : offers, but there should be multiple funnels you consider based on the types of jobs you’re applying for or the genres of applications/resumes you’re sending out.
So there’d be a funnel for Template 1/Industry A, a funnel for Template 2/Industry B and so on, and its entirely possible that one has better conversion than the other.

Accounts… Well i was a kinda stupid guy who used to “andha dhund” apply for any post, no matter related to an Assistant or an Executive level plus, my CV was of three page:confused: Now, whenever i think about all this stuff, my face becomes just like oh God why
