In our family we dont do a lot of rasmein, but I want k in my marriage I do alllllllll the rasms Lols. So tell me what are the rituals that are followed in ur house? these are the ones tht I know off.
Mehndi-
the dulhan in her dupata keeps lots of peanuts wagira and then distributes it to all the single girls so tht they get married soon lols.
Dulha’s pinky (finger) is held hostage and in return the salis get money

Mehdni
**- **bringing the bride out with the dupatta (in ours we do that but the brothers carry the bride
- bride holding peanuts, dried dates, etc to disperse to other single girls
- doing the chatthi choli on the groom by elder women and sisters
- tying of ghana on both bride and groom (i love the long ones with peanuts, coconuts etc they weigh like a ton!)
Wedding Day
- stopping the baraat and barracading via brides family members
- giving milk etc to the groom (we gave milkshake because it tastes better!!)
- stealing grooms shoes
- putting surma on the groom by the saali
- paana vaarna (basically groom holds a LOTA and circles around the dholi and stops his mum or elder sister drinking it 3 times
- showing of the mirror (bride and groom look at each other in that)
- making bride and groom feed each other mithai, choori, halva or kheer
- playing ghana!!! wicked this ( basically you gate a bowl of milk and an "independant adjuticator" throws in something like a coin or a ring and they both try and find it. soooooooo much fun!
- the grooms youngets brother sitting in bhaabis lap and trying to hustle her for money after which she gives him a punch on his back (usually its just a tap or even a kiss on the cheek)
