Rasm o rivaaj se pala hai Buhera e Hind ka deen
Hai ye kuch aur shay, nahin ye Mustafa ka deen

So is it only Muslims of sub-continent who stick to their cultural practices and preferred them over religion?

What are Arab cultural practices before and after Islam?
We can justify South Asian flavor of Islam.....

If one goes through the book 'Bilagh ul Arab' , he can find that many cultural practices remain intact in Arabs after Islam. Apart from these, cultural practices related to birth, marriage, death, etc are different across the Muslim world and that is not just limited to non-Arab countries but in Arab countries as well.
