After the shameful behaviour of our supporters last time Pakistan played in England, lets hope their behaviour is better this time. I personally feel that the Pakistan captain should make it clear to these rowdy fans that he would forefeit the match if the disgraceful behaviour of the last tour is repeated. Also the police should take more active role in arresting and prosecuting such thugs. They totally devalued Pakistan’s victory last time around and surely there is no place or cause for such unruly behaviour.
Rashid Latif today called on Pakistan supporters to behave themselves during the NatWest Challenge against England, starting at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
Crowd trouble marred the NatWest Series with England and Australia two years ago, and fears of a repeat were heightened yesterday when hundreds of fans jumped the fences and dodged stewards to reach the square following Pakistan’s five-wicket win over Leicestershire at Grace Road.
Latif said: “This is very bad for cricket, I think, especially in Pakistan and England with the Pakistani crowd. They love us and follow Pakistan cricket all over the world, but it is not good for the cricket and I do not support that kind of thing.”
“I respect the crowd and not all the crowd were bad, but a few guys got on the pitch and this is no good for the safety of the players and it effects the cricket.”
“The situation in Pakistan is bad all the time, but now the whole world will be watching the television and it would not be good to happen here.”
Waqar’s brilliance was overshadowed by the mindless and unnecessary voilence by thugs calling themselves fans of the Pakistani team. I have no sympathy with these guys and they should be arrested and thrown in jail.
So called rules in Lord's stadium bores the spectator and the audience on TV to that with their no tolerance rule.
People aren't allowed to bring horns, drums and other equipments to make the match more exciting.
Anyways, back to the topic, English stadiums need to put in jaalis like Pakistani stadiums so such thing doesn't occur.
Last time I went to the pak vs england match in Pindi Stadium!!! Dont even ask what happened!!! The stadium's seating capacity was limited to 19,000 and there were probably more people causing hangama. Even the English players got some ansoo gas in their eyes while playing ;)

yeah thats why i said keh we can only hope that crowd wont do anything...
the whole atmosphere was ruined by those idiotic kind of fans.
quite frankly i dont expect any improvement from the British pAKI crowd, since according to home office there have been 40,000 Assylum cases from pakistani's since pak's last tour to england . so there are more people here, who have told their friends in Pak to look for them in the match.:D :D
There is NO better sight in English cricket then to see a mob of crazy lunatics rushing onto the pitch right after (or even before) the last shot is played. I kinda enjoy seeing that on TV. I am sure it would be a blast to see it in person. I don't see anything wrong with it. It's an old English tradition. Why abandon it now?. Just because desis are doing it?. Are we saying desis are not good enough to carry ENglish cricket traditions?. How unfair!.
The fans have gone over the top in the last few years in England, but if they can curb their enthusiasm just a touch, they will be a big asset to the team. The best and most colourful support has always been provided by the UK Pakistanis and anyone who doubts it, tune in and watch us roar our lads to victory. the Pak team will feel like they are playing at home and after the pathetic support they received in South Africa I can guarantee they'll love it.
