Thats how my sister makes it, i never tried it.
Boil the milk, put vinegar in it.
Jub phat jaey to take all the water out it.
Then make balls.
In pressure cooker make sheera with 1 cup sugar, 2 cup water and Ilaichi.
put the balls in this and cook it for 10 minutes. Take them out and let them cool down.
Boil some more milk add sugar in it. let it cool down also. After both things are cold put them together.
Thats roughly the receipe.

you can make them with ricota or cottage cheese

What you do is lay the ricota cheese on baking sheet and put it in oven on 350 till the water evaporates. Then take a cookie cutter and make small cookies out of it. Fry them for couple mins and the add the to the seasoned milk and cook them in that milk for about 10-20 mins. Garnish with pistachos.
This is the recepie someone told me, that person always make rus mali like this. However, I haven't tried it personally but I have tasted her ras mali and it was good.
